Iris D. Ruiz Wins CWPA Outstanding Scholarship Award

Iris D. Ruiz has won the Outstanding Scholarship Award from the Council of Writing Program Administrators for her chapter, “Critiquing the Critical: The Politics of Race and Coloniality in Rhetoric, Composition, and Writing Studies Research Traditions.” The chapter is in the book Race, Rhetoric, and Research Methods, which she co-authored with Alexandria L. Lockett, James Chase Sanchez, and Christopher Carter.

Mini-Conference Announced: Not Just a Number: Student Age in WAC/WID Classrooms

To accompany the upcoming special section guest edited by Macy Dunklin of Texas A&M University, The WAC Journal is sponsoring the Inaugural Journal-based Mini-conference in WAC and WID. The conference, to be held virtually May 9, 2024, serves as another opportunity for WAC scholars and practitioners to gather and share research and experiences.
