2022 Exemplary WAC Program, Established

The Writing Across the College program began with a mandate to develop a two-year college WAC/WID program. It transformed into a sustainable college-wide program by drawing from community literacy praxis. The program enacts and promotes a compassionate and respectful culture of writing for all members of the college community. WAC provides a range of programs and resources that promote student success in writing by directly serving SLCC faculty, staff, administrators, and the institution. Writing Across the College consists of two distinct branches of programming: 1) Writing in the Classroom and 2) the Professional Writing Center.
