The 7th Biennial Conference on Critical Thinking and Writing will bring together teacher-scholars working in Writing Across the Curriculum/Writing in the Disciplines (WAC/WID) and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL).
We seek proposals for panels, poster sessions, research talks, roundtables, teaching demonstrations, and workshops that explore research and practice focused on critical thinking and/or writing. Because definitions of critical thinking vary, proposals that address critical thinking should be clearly grounded in current approaches or questions in the field. We also invite you to consider the many ways that WAC/WID and/or the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) informs your work. We encourage proposals from diverse disciplinary and pedagogical approaches to writing and thinking that are grounded in scholarly work. The keynote events will focus on social justice and pedagogy, so proposals connecting to this focus are encouraged but not required. Any topic that clearly connects to critical thinking and/or writing is eligible.
Proposals will be evaluated on the extent to which they are grounded in current scholarly approaches to writing and/or critical thinking pedagogy.
