Conference Theme: "The Future is WAC"
"The Future is WAC" focused on the ways in which WAC programs and professionals may need to expand their efforts in response to new economic, institutional, and demographic challenges and how these initiatives can lead the way for our institutions to be self-sustaining and proactive in meeting the changing needs of our students and the communities of which we are a part.
This conference welcomed presentations, interactive workshops, and poster presentations that explored the ways in which WAC has been sustained and enhanced its presence in K-12 schools, colleges and universities, and around the globe. The conference organizers sought to include multiple voices and a variety of perspectives on WAC in its current forms.

The Eleventh International Writing Across the Curriculum Conference was held at the Coastal Georgia Center in Savannah, Georgia, June 7 through 9, 2012. The conference was hosted by the Department of Writing and Linguistics in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences and the Division of Continuing Education at Georgia Southern University and co-sponsored by CITL Writing Program, Indiana University. The conference was co-directed by Michael Pemberton, Randall McClure, and Janice Walker. J. Marie Lutz served as conference coordinator. She was assisted by Karen Underwood, Janie Edgens, Christy Curley, and Evan Floyd. Conference registration was managed by Linda Tyler. The program and the conference Web site were designed by Barbara Weiss. Brea Shaffer served as a student intern.
