Conference History

The National WAC Conferences began in 1993, with a meeting co-hosted by Clemson University, the College of Charleston, and The Citadel: The Military College of South Carolina. This consortium hosted two more biennial conferences in Charleston, after which the venues moved to universities in New York, Indiana, Texas, and now Missouri. Each conference and host institution has drawn inspiration from previous ones; we all are indebted to one another for the growth and evolution of this conference, now in its seventh iteration. The next conference will be held in 2006 with a host to be determined. If you are interested in hosting this conference please contact the University of Missouri Campus Writing Progam.
