From Mike Palmquist:
On behalf of the Association for Writing Across the Curriculum and the organizing group for the 2020 International Writing Across the Curriculum Conference, I’m writing to announce the postponement of the conference and the WAC Summer Institute, which was scheduled to precede the conference. As a result of concerns about the well-being of those who were planning to attend the conference, as well as that of the members of the Fort Collins community, we have postponed the conference. It will now be held on August 4-7, 2021. The WAC Summer Institute will begin earlier that week on August 1st. The location will remain the same, at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.
It is disappointing to have taken this step, but we believe that health concerns have made it a necessary decision. We hope that you will be able to join us in Fort Collins next summer.
We’ve sent messages to those who have registered for the conference and/or been accepted to present at the conference. In case you are in one of those groups and have not yet seen the message, please know that everyone who has registered for the conference will receive a full refund. This includes those who cancelled their registration prior to our decision to postpone the conference. In addition, everyone accepted to present at the conference will retain their place on the program. Because it is possible that some presenters will not be able to attend the conference on its new dates, we will likely open a second round of proposals submissions this coming fall.
If you have any questions about the rescheduled conference, please contact me directly or write to iwac2020@gmail.com.
I wish you all the best and I hope you and your families stay safe and well.
