Writing Across Borders

Writing Across Borders CoverReleased in 2005, Writing Across Borders is a 3-year documentary project funded by Oregon State University’s Center for Writing and Learning (now simply known as the Writing Center) and its Writing Intensive Curriculum Program. The documentary's purpose is to help faculty, writing assistants, and other professionals work more productively with international students in writing environments. The film’s goal is to address some of the most significant challenges international students face when writing for American colleges and universities.

Speaking of Writing CoverReleased in 2009, Speaking of Writing presents interviews with faculty members about the use of writing in courses at North Carolina State University. The faculty members are drawn from the departments of biology, psychology, food science, accounting, history, and art & design.

Who Is a Writer? What Writers Tell Us

Who Is a Writer? CoverReleased in 2007, Who Is a Writer? provides excerpts from interviews conducted by 25 different filmmakers across the country. In her observations on the video, Linda Adler-Kassner writes that the film "is about how people—actual students, teachers, others—feel about their own writing" (The Activist WPA, 267).
