Welcome to the WAC Clearinghouse Media pages. This section of our website provides access to video and audio content that is of interest to the WAC and writing studies communities. The content ranges from podcasts to interviews to archival materials. Many of the resources avaialble here can be found in Clearinghouse journals, book series, and the WAC Repository. Some can be found on related sites.
We're just getting started on our media resources. If you have ideas for projects, please reach out to Mike Palmquist at mike.palmquist@colostate.edu.
The Clearinghouse sponsors the following podcast. You can also find podcasts related to WAC and writing studies on our podcasts list in the WAC Repository.
The podcast brings transnational scholars together to provide cross-cultural understandings about writing, writing praxis, publishing, and research while interrogating assumptions from the U.S. and North America. The first season of the podcast brings on editors and writers of the International Exchanges on the Study of Writing Book Series with the first episode featuring the editors and co-founders of the series: Dr. Terry Zawacki, Dr. Steven Fraiberg, Dr. Joan Mullin, and Dr. Magnus Gustafsson. Please listen and subscribe to the podcast on Spotify.
View video recordings of presentations and workshops related to writing across the curriculum and the teaching of writing. These videos can support professional development efforts with faculty, graduate students, and writing center consultants. All videos are closed captioned. Most provide links to associated presentation.
This section of our media pages includes recent and older video recordings (some originally released as VHS tapes and DVDs).
Our interview project is just getting underway. Video recordings of interviews will be available here in the coming months. Many will also be available in the form of edited transcripts.
The oral history project is also just getting underway. As we work on the project, video recordings will be available here. All videos will be closed captioned. Many will also be available in the form of edited transcripts.
Held during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Fifteenth International Conference on Writing Across the Curriculum was conducted virtually during August 2021 using Zoom, following an initial delay from June 2020 in the hope that the pandemic would wane and we would be able to meet in person for the conference. More than 80 video recordings of plenary sessions, presentations, and workshops are available for viewing.
We're currently assembling an editorial team and editorial advisory board for this project. We're also looking for suggestions for projects. If you'd like to get involved or if you have ideas for projects, please contact Mike Palmquist at mike.palmquist@colostate.edu.
