OK. Free expression means free expression. It doesn't mean anything else.
"Free only to the extent I speak for myself" isn't one of its possible
meanings in discourse. Neither is "Free to speak for my boss," since that
would set limits upon it. Nor does it mean "Free to help my opponent"
(that one, I admit, is slightly stretching the limits of its possibilities,
but that's OK, since it doesn't mean what we're talking about). It certainly
can't mean "Free to make the worse appear the better case," not even for
the most sophisticated among us. It just means, "free expression." OK.
Let's not start *this* one up again.
