Grades are degrading, for both the grader and the gradee.

Eggs should be graded; roads should be graded, but not students.

I agree with Syd Simon in his book from the '70s, _"Whatya Get?" The
Grading Game in American Education_, that to evaluate students we should
use all 26 letters of the alphabet and form them into words, sentences, and
paragraphs--not just assign A, B, C, D, F.
