BTW Eric, the very reason I have proposed _What Makes Teaching Good in Age
of Digital Writing is to set up a means of understanding the claims that
folks like you and I make on lists like this about teaching, its various
contexts, and assumptions. Teaching is always situated. I want to call
attention to that fact and to provide opportunities for discussion within
a detailed context.

cheers,
jrg
