Well I would have, but I'm really clueless with some technologies and
while I used to sharpen pencils with knives, I did once forget to fold the
pocket knife my dad gave me, and, it being an especially picket pocket
knife, I nearly did a Latin job and almost made myself a neuter noun.
Instead I sharpen the pencils I use by giving them to my daughter, who
with great industry and concentration will bring any pencil to a perfect,
albeit diminutive point, enough so that the distance between point and
eraser is short enough for me almost use them both simultaneously,
allowing me to revise without retracing, a true convenience. Saves me
the trouble of cutting.

Computers don't give me that luxury, which is why I keyboard with my foot
in my mouth.
