The Tao of Catch:
An unarticulated bond

Catch is a way to go outside the self--literally "outside," first of all,
then outside the mind, into the smell of oiled leather and the familiar
stitches on the ball. Out where birds and clouds pass overhead in no
particular pattern.

|
*Something*--not sure it can be qualified or
quantified--besides the ball passes between the participants, though they
probably wouldn't think of trying to articulate "it."
