Hotel Sleeping Rooms

A block of hotel sleeping rooms is being held at the conference meeting site, The Commons Hotel, 615 Washington Avenue, S.E., on the University of Minnesota’s Minneapolis campus. A limited number of rooms are available at $129 per night.

To reserve a sleeping room, call the hotel at 800-822-6757 or 612-379-8888 and ask for the International Writing Across the Curriculum (IWAC) group. You may also reserve a room online. Guests have until May 19, 2014, to reserve a room under the group block. Reservations after this date will be accepted on a space and rate available basis.

On-Campus Lodging

IWAC 2014 participants can stay in Centennial Hall - an on-campus residence hall located a short walking distance from the conference meeting location. Single rooms for $60 per night are available with conveniently located, shared bathrooms on each floor. All rooms are air conditioned and smoke free, and bed linens and daily towel service are provided. Also included in the rate is access to residence hall computer labs, free wireless, free laundry facilities, and free cable access. Breakfast in the residential restaurant is also included. Parking, for an additional charge, will be available to residence hall guests. Please indicate if you will need parking when reserving your room. Parking is only available to guests on the same night(s) they are staying in the residence hall.

Accommodations must be reserved online with credit card payment information by May 27, 2014. Housing reservations made after May 27, 2014, are subject to room availability. Confirmation of all reservations will be sent via e-mail or mail. Cancellations must be received by May 27, 2014.
