Reviewing CCCC 2000: WPA Breakfast

Beginning the 4Cs on Thursday morning at 7A.M. did not, at first, feel good. Nonetheless, Chet Pryor and Carol Rutz, local hosts to this annual event, made certain the food was delicious and, after sitting down with several hundred leaders in our field, the company felt pretty fine too. Doug Hesse and Chris Anson spoke briefly and with fine humor. Most of the action was at tables and among individuals who have been buzzing together on the WPA email list. Special group meetings such as this one are almost like a conference within a conference. WPA business reports demonstrated the continued success of this organization, and there are several recipients of research funding who will attest to the support and direction of our Writing Program Administrators.
