Reviewing CCCC 2000: It Takes A Village: Re-Imagining Critical Praxis For Local Contexts (E.25)

This panel presentation by Victoria Tishio, Lil Brannon and Stephen Ferruci addressed a central tension based on the questions of whether compositionists are generalists or writing specialists, and whether compositionists are specialists in teaching writing or need to apply their pedagogy more broadly across the curriculum. Throughout the entire session and interesting Q&A, little was said about the point that writing teachers might need to first configure their roles as writers while also shaping their pedagogy.
