The 2003 South Central Writing Centers Association Conference

The University of Arkansas Quality Writing Center invites members of the Writing Center community to attend the South Central Writing Centers Association in Fayetteville, Arkansas, February 20-22, 2003. Proposals are invited for poster sessions, twenty-minute papers, and workshops on topics related to the conference theme, Perception vs. Practice in the Writing Center or "What I meant to say was . . . ."

We are interested in current and future challenges to writing center practices as well as perceptions of such practices by the academic community and communities at large. For our conference this year, we are honored and excited to have as our keynote speaker Dr. Lady Falls Brown, who established wcenter, a vital resource and link for writing center communities. We look forward to an exciting and fun-filled conference in Fayetteville, a beautiful university town nestled in the Ozark Mountains.
