Abstract/Summary: This book-length project explores various aspects of writing program administration at small liberal arts colleges. Using surveys completed by 100 writing program administrators and/or writing center directors at small liberal arts colleges drawn primarily from the Annapolis Group, interviews and site visits, the project attempts to examine how the small liberal arts college complicates the portrait of writing program administration. The book project includes chapters on writing-across-the-curriculum, writing requirements, writing centers and assessment. A smaller scale version of the project has been published in the Spring 2009 issue of WPA.

General Research Approach: Mixed / Multi-Modal
