Abstract/Summary: This study replicates Linda Peterson's 1986 survey-based study of WPA role definition and WPA career patterns, published in the WPA journal, "The WPA's Progress," with the addition of a number of new questions.

Research Question or Hypothesis: Have WPAs' role definitions and career paths changed in the last 20 years, with respect to formal and informal preparation, areas of responsibility, position title, length of terms as WPAs, academic rank, and tenure status and promotion prospects?
