An Introduction to WAC Teacher Comments: The Value of Abstracting
Neil Grigg, Civil Engineering: One thing I advise students to do, and I do it myself, is to go through on the computer and collapse the whole document into an abstract. If that reads well, probably the document reads well. Usually what I find in my own writing is that there's discontinuities in the abstract, so I have to go back redo the document and [then] go back and forth between the two. |
