An Introduction to WAC Teacher Comment: Writing helps students think critically about a disciplineCarmen Menoni, Electrical Engineering Professor: The whole approach to writing is similar to the way we work. Because writing is a process by which you start with something and then you improve that, shaping it into a particular form depending on the audience. This is exactly what we do with an experiment. We start with a problem and looking at way to solve the problem and what's the outcome of this particular problem. We train people to do this type of analytical thinking [in electrical engineering]. |
