Reviewing CW2K: Graduate Student Research Forum

The computers and writing community proved themselves to be warm, encouraging and welcoming to their newest members at the first Computers and Writing Graduate Student Research Forum. Organized by Janice Walker, the forum gave graduate students a place where they could present their current research projects and receive critiques, suggestions and assistance from some of the field's outstanding scholars. An added benefit was, of course, seeing the incredible work that other graduate students were doing. The air of collegiality and the joy that comes from sharing proposals, ideas and findings made this an event that will hopefully be reproduced – and well attended – at future computers and writing conferences.
